If you are arrested for DUI in Los Angeles County, you may be held in custody at the police station where you are booked, or you may be placed in a Los Angeles County Detention Facility. Regardless, if you are required to post bail in order to be released, you’ll need the services of a bail bondsman to secure your release. Generally, a family member will be required to post bail on your behalf. However, you may be able to post your own bail if you have the available funds. If you are released on your own recognizance, bail is not required.
